Scheduling Coordinator
The Mental Health Association is seeking Scheduling Coordinators for the New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S) Hub, operating in Morris and Sussex Counties.
The NJ4S Hub program provides regional coverage through a “Hub” that offers proven prevention strategies used to support students in Morris and Sussex Counties and their families. The Hub integrates its programming with existing state and local services, to improve coordination and reduce duplication of effort. The Hub offers a tiered menu of evidence-based prevention and intervention strategies that are deployed in high-need districts. The NJ4S Hub provides universal supports to all Morris/Sussex public and charter school students, and more intensive supports to students in schools with higher needs.
Qualified applicants for the position of Scheduling Coordinator will have at minimum:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g. counseling, social work, mental health, etc.)
- Two (2) years of experience in scheduling and office management in community-based services, mental health or school- based setting
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy with knowledge and experience in data entry, and Microsoft Office.
- Must be well-organized, accurate, pay great attention to detail, and have good interpersonal skills
- Must be able to initiate and handle multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Scheduling Coordinator will provide general support and be responsible for:
Answers general and new participant inquiries. Communicates with potential participants, supporting them with the consultation, scheduling, and application process. Facilitates the paperwork process with potential participants. Coordinates inquiries with the NJ4S Assistant Director to ensure tiered services are provided accordingly. Schedules NJ4S prevention services with participants. Assists with scheduling and hosting NJ4S Advisory Group meetings. Assists with data collection and reporting as necessary. Coordinates and schedules NJ4S staff meetings. Participate in trainings as required. Perform other duties as assigned by the NJ4S Hub Director. Managing incoming applications submitted to the NJ4S portal. Assisting with assigning staff to events and activities. Entering detailed information into program database. Participating on the Hub Advisory Committee. Becoming familiar with all NJ4S programming, particularly evidence-based programs, in order to provide consultation to schools interested in our services.
